Reflections
I visited a blog that was reflecting on the past year and it seemed like a good idea.
Things I learned…
Anything can change any time.
Changes that are difficult can still end up with positive aspects.
Relationships change and that’s okay.
A close family, good friends, and a fulfilling job are wonderful assets.
We’re all different and that’s okay.
Finances and housework are not supposed to be your highest priorities.
Sometimes you have to let go of (fill in the blank).
It is incredibly destructive to define yourself by your appearance or possessions.
Politics are a necessary evil and sorting through it is complicated.
Control is necessary but not all important and certainly not guaranteed.
God comes first, everything else second, and I have a lot to unlearn.
Things I’ve improved on…
Reading my study Bible more regularly (over 300 pages read this year).
Exercising (I don’t do as often as I’d like but more than I once did).
Maintaining my friendships.
Handling our finances, devising flexible long-term and short-term plans.
Managing my time, though I still have some things to learn.
Making my marriage a higher priority.
Focusing on my children’s education, installing good study habits.
Photo management.
Things to continue improvement on…
Punctuality.
Breaking away from activities I enjoy.
Laughing more, worrying less.
Maturing.
Saying No.
