New Year
Has it been that long since my last post? I did compose a posting the other day but I had Internet connections problems. I try to post something everyday (interesting/compelling or not) and generally check everyone’s that I have links to everyday also (except that I've been sick and the computer has been acting up).
People say they don’t have the time but a posting for me sometimes only takes 3 to 5 minutes and topics are never a problem- I have so much whirling around in this silly head of mine it is ridiculous (too bad most of it is frivolous or inconsequential). There was a time when I had to make each posting a work of art but that was too much. Now its just a bunch of whatever words strewn together in a babbling manner that I still after all this time find very therapeutic.
While I understand that blogging isn’t for everyone and that some enthusiastic folks have lost their zest- I still have to say I’m a fan of blogging and likely will be for a long time. So in the spirit of fresh starts, house cleaning is in order (both in the home AND on the site). If you don’t update your blog at least once a week, I’m going to remove your link. That isn’t to say I won’t check out your blog from time to time but I’ll probably use your comments as a cue that you’re blogging and visit you that way. No hurt feelings, I get it that not everyone gets it.
I can’t believe tomorrow the world becomes as it was once again. I’ll have new files to create and logs to update- 2006 will take me weeks to get use to and I’ll likely mess up at least 3 or 4 very important documents by writing 2005 on them.
Hope everyone’s Holidays were great. Mine was wonderful. I have a lot of lil’ family antidotes to share but I’ll probably post them on the family blog (time willing). Right now I’m looking forward to… working out more, eating less, staying on budget, reading my Bible EVERY NIGHT, focusing on my relationships and trying to make the most of this wonderful life God has blessed me with. What about you?

I stopped making New Years resolutions because I never stick to them and then I always end up so disappointed, but now I realize that if I set REALISTIC goals, I have a shot at reaching them. Curt and I are committed to being debt free by the end of 2006. We only have 1 credit card with a low balance, my car will be paid for and we will get our furniture paid off. That way we can start making baby plans in 2007. The year I turn 30!! I am also going to try to jump back into my bible every day. I am excited about the new year!
Well I updated so you wouldn't remove my link :) We had a great time on New Year's, too. This was the first New Year's day that I didn't wake up with a massive hangover in the last 10 years. I do have one resolution, to lose at least 20 pounds before this summer. I would also like to get caught up on all my little projects and do more with my side business.
I suppose I'm like you pixie- I don't make New Year Resolutions per say but I'm recommitting to some of the things that I had considered important and lost track of. I guess you could say I'd like to have more self discipline, not because of a New Year Resolution but because I know I can do better. Coming off of Vacation and the busy season, it does feel like a good time to refocus.
NLP- you can surely lose it. You're that person that can do anything once you set your mind to it.
you're a blog snob.
Is it wrong that being a blog snob feels so good?
No it's not wrong. It's what you do best. How else are you supposed to relive your high school years. Love ya! Hey, why do I have to be BitterBunny, what can't I be sassybunny or takeNOcrapbunny or Idon'thavetoblogifIdon'twanttobunny.
I have been a blog slacker. But, I do not have the net at work and Michael has been home a lot which makes it hard for me to get on the computer. But, things are going back to normal and I will be getting better about it.
