Queen of the Happenstance Realm

Happenstance, it is all just happenstance isn't it? This blog is used to share my thoughts about whatever silly or serious somethin' or other that's on mind- I use to update it everyday until... until... Feel free to leave comments, I love sharing ideas and IF you comment, I might start posting again. Represented are some aspects of who I am. All this together is a small piece of my life.

Nervous

Okay so I WAS feeling great about the outfits I bought for the 2 class reunion events we're going to THIS weekend but...

a friend pointed out that wearing the same color of shirt to both might not be a good idea. I tried to argue the point and ended up making the same point. Both shirts billow down the front, they both have dropped waists... one is silkier material and is a halter and the other has straps that come closer together in back but besides that they are pretty similar...

The pants I got and loved were hemmed and still are cute but they are itchy and maybe I'm having a fat day but I thought they looked better on (oh well, I'll deal). I can wear them with another lighter shirt I have but I'll have to buy a cute belt to wear because the belt loops will show with this shirt. I'm running out of time but can probably find time to get a few accessories (I wanted to anyway). But even though the lighter shirt is pretty complimentary on- it is a lil' more conservative than I wanted and it isn't new (doesn't have that new feeling).

What to do? The skirt outfit was for the bar thing on Friday night and the pants were for the more formal event on Saturday. I can substitute the skirt for some of my fav jeans but I really wanted to wear the skirt and the new pants since I bought them special for this weekend.

Look at the pictures and PLEASE give me some advice. Don't say anything too bad, it will run through my mind the whole time but I could use your input. I took pics in two different ways to give the best idea though the lighter color shirt is much cuter on and the others are more flattering and attractive than they look here but you get the gist.

im not going to even say being a male with no taste but go with the skirt and work it out from there if this is nt sexist to many women wear pants to go out and takes away the feminity.

You could wear the exact same clthes both nights in a row wearing a sign the second night that said "I wore this last night" and the people there will still not notice. Go ahead and wear the two similar outfits, it will be fine. Remember, they serve beer & drinks at these events...

Okay, i had to chime in. The first shirt, is a bit too conservative. Not a lot of pop to it. The orange skirt is fabulous so don't pass that up. Other than that, I'm sure you will look great on anything!

NOrmally I would say don't care about what others think, BUT, this is your reunion, they may never see you again, and some prolly haven't seen you in a long time. I would care too and would make sure to look my best.

Whew, that was long! Sorry.

This is a no offense zone (and no comment is too long)- no worries.

I found another top for the orange skirt- it is cream and made out of thin cotton material. It has skinny straps and shows cleavage but is long enough to move around in without worrin' about showin' the tum tum. The middle part across the chest has a tuxedo lookin' thing going on and it is fitted but not tight. It fits with the feeling I get from the skirt- earthy and fun, and a lil' bit wild/sexy.

Tonight I'm going to shop for some accessories- I CAN'T WAIT.

This is too exciting. I love special occasions.

One of my comments didn't show up- but I was saying how lucky I am to get honest opinions from people. It is so nice to hear what you'all think.
