Drive-In

I love the Drive-in movie concept! Going with a group is awesome and the one we visit has good food that is inexpensive. I'm on their newsletter distribution and just received one today. Can't imagine we'll make it any time soon (the schedule is jam packed) but I would love to.
In case you're interested and you live locally- in the Dallas/Ft Worth area...
NEW FALL / WINTER START TIMES are as follows... the box office and snack bar opens at 5:30pm 1st feature starts Sunday thru Thursday at 7:00PM and the 1st feature starts at 7:30PM on Friday & Saturday.
Right now would be a great time to take kids- they're playing Chicken Little - (G) & Zathura - (PG). Not sure what Zathura is but we generally don't stick around for the second show so it isn't that important to me. Anyway, it is just a suggestion and in my opinion worth the drive if you have the time! But bundle up- it is getting cold (all the more fun to me).

Great idea! My parents used to take the 4 of us to the drive through. I remember one time my mom was out of town and my dad took us to see Every Which Way but Loose with Clint Eastwood. He had a monkey named Clyde that we loved. Mom gets home and the next weekend we are on our way to church. I tapped her on the shoulder and said, "Mom, Clyde cwapped in the caw" (I couldn't say my R's). She almost wrecked trying to figure out who Clyde was and why he had "cwapped in the caw" My sister explained that we saw it at the drive in. LOL!!!
Anyway, think we'll take Connor to see Chicken Little next time he is here. :)
I mean drive in, not drive through. LOL
I really hope you make it- I can't wait to go again myself. In fact, maybe we'll try for the Friday after Thanksgiving? That would be fun. I know you're entertaining family, but wouldn't it be fun to go together to see Chicken Little?
NLP, SOS, anyone else- email me if you're interested in going on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We'd probably leave the house by 5ish :) maybe a little earlier.
oooh, that would be fun! I'll talk to the boys and let you know. My mom will be here, but she would love to go!
hi krit,
wow! your drive in movie is open during winter? here, it is closed already!
i also enjoy drive in movies, its the only way that hubby and I can watch movies without leaving the kids with babysitter/friends. and even though it ends late, the kids can always sleep in the car.
Jo- in TX it gets cold but I suppose since it gets so HOT in the summer, we try to make the most of the early parts of both seasons. This drive-in is new (and we do our best to support it, keep it going). We'll give it a try in this cold weather- but it might be tricky. Of course it might be warm tomorrow- they say if you don't like TX weather, just wait a minute.
Thanks Becster!
